Who can use 90North
You need to be at least 13 years old to use 90North. Crews and chat are only open to people 13 and older, and the app turns them off if the App Store or Google Play reports that you’re younger. If you’re under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission, and they agree to these Terms on your behalf.
What 90North is
90North helps you keep rules you set for yourself for 90 days, alone or with a small crew of friends. You choose the rules and the difficulty, and you’re the one who checks in. The app counts what you report; it doesn’t verify it.
90North is a self-tracking tool. It isn’t medical, fitness, nutrition or mental health advice, and it doesn’t replace a professional. See Health and safety.
Your arc
- An arc is 90 days. If you pay before the season start (October 1, 2026), it starts on October 1. If you pay later, it starts the next day.
- Your rules, difficulty and the time your day ends can change until the end of day 3. After that they’re locked for the arc, while reminder times and your name can always change.
- In Monk mode a missed day starts a new attempt of 90 days. Access is extended for the new attempt at no charge.
- After day 90 the arc becomes read-only. You can keep its history, start the next arc or take a break.
Price and payment
- Each arc costs $9 in the United States, or the price the App Store or Google Play shows in your country and currency. You pay once. There’s no trial and it never renews.
- On the App Store the arc is sold as a non-renewing subscription, and on Google Play as a prepaid plan. Those are the stores’ names for a one-time purchase that covers a fixed period. You’re never charged again unless you buy another arc.
- Keep going and Change it up after day 90 are new purchases of another arc, each confirmed on the store’s payment sheet.
- Payments are processed by Apple or Google under their terms. We never see your payment details.
- You can restore an arc you bought on your other devices signed in to the same store account. Purchases don’t move between the App Store and Google Play.
- We may change the price of future arcs. A change never affects an arc you already bought.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, and we can’t issue them ourselves. On iPhone you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com, and on Android through Google Play.
If a purchase is refunded, the arc ends on the day the store reports the refund. Your history stays, and buying again starts a new arc the next day with the same rules. Until then your crew sees you as “Taking a break.”
Apple and Google sell the arc to you, so any right to cancel a purchase, including the right of withdrawal that consumers in the EU and the UK may have, is handled by them under their terms. Nothing here affects the rights you have if the app doesn’t work as described.
Accounts
You can do an arc on your own without an account. Crews need Sign in with Apple on iPhone or Google sign-in on Android. Keep that Apple or Google account secure, because you’re responsible for what’s done through your 90North account. You can sign out or delete your account at any time in Settings, or at 90north.app/delete-account.
Moving an account between iPhone and Android isn’t supported yet.
Crews
- Crews are invite-only groups of up to 8 people. You can be in one crew at a time, and everyone keeps their own rules and dates.
- Your crew sees your first name, day, daily count, streak and camps, never your rules, difficulty, misses or contract. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what’s shared.
- The person who creates a crew owns it. The owner can rename it, turn invites on or off, make a new invite code, remove members and hand the crew over. An owner who leaves picks who takes over, and if an owner deletes their account the earliest member to join takes over. When the last member leaves, the crew and its chat are deleted.
- Only share your invite code with people you want in your crew.
Rules for using 90North
When you join or create a crew you agree to the Crew rules: no harassment, hate or sexual content. Anywhere in 90North you also agree not to:
- break the law, or help someone else break it
- impersonate anyone or misrepresent who you are
- try to guess invite codes, or get around rate limits, blocks, word filters or age checks
- access 90North with bots, scrapers or other automated means, or interfere with our servers
- copy, modify, reverse engineer, sell or rent the app, except where the law expressly allows it
- use 90North to advertise, sell things or send spam
What you post
Crew names, first names and chat messages are your content, and you keep ownership of it. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, copy, filter and show it to your crew, only to run 90North and only for as long as we keep it. Chat messages are deleted after 30 days. You’re responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to post it.
Moderation
Names and messages pass a word filter, and a message that fails it isn’t sent. Anyone can report a crew member or a message, and a real person reviews every report within 24 hours. We may hide messages, remove people from a crew or ban accounts that break these Terms or the Crew rules, and people who break the rules are removed for good.
A ban removes you from crews and chat. It doesn’t take away an arc you paid for, which keeps working on your phone. If you think we made a mistake, write to support@90north.app.
Health and safety
90North doesn’t give medical advice. Talk to a doctor before you start something that could affect your health, such as a new training plan, a diet, fasting, cold exposure or sleeping less, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant or are recovering from an injury. Don’t set rules that could hurt you.
If you’re sick or something hurts, rest. That’s what sick days are for, and a sick day never counts as a miss.
Reminders are notifications scheduled on your phone. Your phone’s settings, battery saver or a restart can delay or block them, so don’t rely on 90North for anything where a missed reminder could cause harm, such as taking medication.
Your data and backups
The Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why. Your arc lives on your phone and in your own iCloud or Google backup. If you delete the app without a backup, your history can’t be recovered, although your purchase can still be restored.
Our app and brand
90North, its name, icon, design, the trail scene and the text in the app belong to us and are protected by law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control, as the App Store or Google Play rules allow. Fonts and open-source components are used under their own licenses, listed in Acknowledgements.
Changes to 90North and these Terms
We keep improving 90North and may add, change or remove features. Because your arc runs on your phone, it keeps working even when crew features are unavailable.
If we change these Terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app before the change takes effect. If you keep using 90North afterwards, the new Terms apply. If you don’t agree, you can stop using 90North and delete your account.
Ending this agreement
You can stop using 90North and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access to crews and chat if you break these Terms or the Crew rules, if the law requires it, or to protect other people. The parts of these Terms that should last beyond that, such as ownership, disclaimers and limits of liability, stay in effect.
Disclaimers
We work hard to keep 90North running well, but we provide it as it is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we don’t promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, or that it will help you reach a particular result. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t be limited by contract.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for data you lose because it wasn’t backed up, or for what other users do. Our total liability to you for any claim related to 90North is limited to the amount you paid for arcs in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be excluded or limited by law.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there. You always keep the protection of the consumer laws that apply to you. Before going to court, please write to support@90north.app so we can try to put things right.
If you’re in the EU, the European Commission lists consumer dispute resolution bodies in each country. We’re not obliged to take part in alternative dispute resolution, but we’ll consider it.
If you got 90North from the App Store
Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the iPhone app, and these Terms apply alongside it. These additional terms also apply:
- These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Your license is limited to using the app on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to a warranty that applies to it, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claims relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- If someone claims that the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- You confirm that you’re not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you’re not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your mobile carrier’s.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
If you got 90North from Google Play
Your purchase is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google isn’t responsible for 90North or its content.
Other terms
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Crew rules, are the whole agreement between you and us about 90North. If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. We may transfer these Terms to a company that takes over 90North, including one we set up to run it, and your rights under them stay the same.
